I was teaching one student today and she asked me about Canada. In the sweetest of voices, with the utmost respect she told me how she was told by her well informed classmates that Canada was the land that the US didn't want because it was too cold to live there. I told her she might have been a little off, and she prepared herself to tell the classmates the new story next time they met.
I don't know why, but hearing that actually hurt a little.
