This is why you always check with a native speaker before paying money for a huge banner like this. Always. Check. First.

Why you don't quote Usenet.

I like number 4 the best.

I should keep this on the down low, lest the Korean government flip out and censor the internet more. But still, why would you use a usenet for your sample sentences? Hello, quality control?  The bots just seem to pull any old thing out and slap it on the website, who knows how offensive (i.e. hilarious) these things will be? And think of the spelling mistakes and bad grammar! Why won't you think of the grammar?!?

Back to School.

Well the semester has started again, and I am up to my eyeballs in work again. I only have three courses this term though, so I think I will be able to get through alright.

I am currently in my third semester of my Master's in Linguistics at Seoul National University. The program seems to be set up well and I have not had too many problems so far. Most of the classes are in Korean, but the text books are usually in English, so even if I get lost in class, I can look through the books to get the answers I need. When that doesn't work the professors are always willing to help as well.

Not much to say, just letting people know I am still alive!

Back from Jejudo.

Well I just got back from Jeju, and my god it was madness. It was frantic-school-girl-giggly fun. So much fun that I think I am going to have to pass out for a few days now. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

Jejudo is a big tourist destination here in Korea, and you can see this in the amount of crazy weirdness that they have developed over the last couple of years. My friend and I went to a few maze parks (there seems to be a few of everything there), a sex museum (awesomeness) and a number of beaches, a few bars, and a bunch of good restaurants. We met some Canadians there and got to see where one of them lives in the countryside out of the city. Very cool.

We didn't have a car, which slowed us down a bit and caused us to miss a few connections here and there, but all in all it was an amazing time. I plan on posting a few articles on the different locations we saw, and the madness that ensued as I have time to do them.

Here, this outta get ya started

Off to Jejudo.

Well I am off to the island for the weekend. Jejudo is a small island just south of the Korean mainland. The weather is looking good. It is supposed to be about 11C for the whole weekend. Beats snow right? Well pictures when I get back.
